Erst ROTT und nun... Blood?
In einem Foren-Beitrag auf der Blood-Fansite The Postmortem hat Jason "Jace" Hall (Gründer und CEO von Monolith) mit der Idee geliebäugelt, eine aktualisierte und erweiterte Version von Blood für alle Plattformen zu entwickeln. Er betont, dass er das originale Blood zurückbringen will und kein Remake wie es beispielsweise bei Rise of the Triad der Fall ist.

Jace Halls Ziel ist es, das Ganze kostenfrei zu veröffentlichen. In seinem Beitrage wendet er sich für Ideen und Vorschläge direkt an die Blood-Community. Falls ihr wollt, könnt ihr dazu auch etwas beitragen.

Sollte es jemand noch nicht wissen: Blood ist ein 1st-Person Shooter von Monolith aus dem Jahr 1997. Das Spiel nutzt die Gleiche Grafik-Engine wie Duke Nukem 3D. In Deutschland wurden Blood sowie dessen Nachfolger Blood II: The Chosen indiziert.

Ja das wär geil, ich hab schon ewig auf "Refusion" für den SP gewartet... Hoffentlich wird das was mit dem Projekt, würd gern Blood zocken;)

Dear Blood Community:

I just got an unusually short, one sentence e-mail from Atari, letting me know that given the current set of circumstances, they are choosing to decline to proceed.

Obviously, I am disappointed. Particularly given Atari's continued encouragement along with the amount of time, effort and correspondence that I have put into this venture.

The only thing that can be done at this point is to wait and see what happens with ATARI, and hope that they find themselves in a position and mindset to allow my efforts to continue on this matter at a future date.

Diese Geldgeilen Publisher halten lieber die Lizenz im Keller versteckt als das jemand (ohne Gewinn) die Fans damit glücklich macht.
