I was over at the ID software webseite and noticed the posted a new news story...

Quake 4 BETA Patch 1.4 has been released which has made or will make some big changes like made shotgun not spraying random and the Railgun only been 90dmg !! Maybe the biggest is the Q4TV which works kinda like Source TV.

The 1.4 beta update affects pure server and protocol consistency. Therefore, players who update to 1.4 beta from ANY previous version will only be able to connect and play against other 1.4 beta users. Save games and demos created on any previous version of the game will not be compatible with the 1.4 beta update.

Hab das neue PR1.4beta und das qmax 0.78 installiert und jetzt klappt mein Q4 nit mehr :-(

Wenn ich joinen will geht der einfach aus dem spiel raus.

Und wenn ich mal auf einen server joinen kann, dann ist das aber auch nit qmax, dann sieht die grafik extrem bescheiden aus! Kann ich so oft umstellen wie ich will.

hab das selbe problem,patch installiert und nun komm ich nicht mal mehr ins game rein :-(. super!

Weiß ja nicht, Steve, aber das ist noch der alte Beta-Patch. Gibt ja nun schon einen zweiten Beta-Patch 1.4. Vielleicht solltest mal auf die Neueste Version 1.4.1 updaten und danach die angepasste Version von Q4MAX 0.78a installieren.

Dann sollte es eigentlich wieder laufen.

ups,hab ja den 1.4.1 patch,dazu neues qmax. komm nicht mehr rein. neuinstall bringt auch nix...schaff es nichtmal zum intro
