how come there are so many german doom3 sites?
is it because ID -god bless there souls- shutdown all the english ones?

Actually we're not scared to death to get shut down.
Since there are idsoftware members as registered users on the board as well, we can't claim to fly under their radar as many other sites do (regardless all their attention seeking pimpage). I've been asked to take things down by idsoftware earlier this year, so it's legit to build wisely upon this experience.

The only links we don't allow are:
- download locations for the alpha version
- screenshots taken with the alpha
- custom maps for the alpha

The rest is usually free to discuss.

So far there hasn't been any problem which didn't get solved quickly by either me or the forum members.

Domsablos I know what you mean, I can't find any English D3a sites with downloads either. I've found afew sites with some general info but no maps, scripts or anything. CHECK out http://doomiii.tv/doom_3_alpha_info.php they have some good info thats in English.
