Hallo, idGames-Community! Es ist mal wieder so weit. Vom 2. bis zum 5. August findet im Hilton Anatole Hotel, in Dallas, Texas, die QuakeCon statt. Folgende Panels stehen auf dem Fahrplan:

Es beginnt also traditionell mit der Keynote von John Carmack. Head-mounted Displays bekommen dieses Jahr ein besondere Aufmerksamkeit zugeteilt. Mehrere Entwicklerstudios (darunter id und Valve) wollen Palmer Luckey bei seinem Oculus Rift Projekt unterstützen. Spekulationen: Was können wir erwarten?
Ich denke, dass es langsam mal an der Zeit wäre, das id Studio zu veröffentlichen. Vielleicht als Bundle mit einem RAGE DLC oder so. Immerhin wird und das seit Anfang dieses Jahres versprochen. Die QuakeCon wäre nun wirklich der ideale Zeitpunkt dafür. Ob es Informationen zu Doom 4 geben wird, wage ich zu bezweifeln, aber ich wäre dennoch erfreut, wenn wir mal offizielles Material zum Spiel zusehen bekommen würden. Was haben wir noch? Die BFG Edition von Doom 3 wird ein Thema sein, und ich wäre auch nicht überrascht, wenn wir ein paar Informationen zum idTech 5 Titel von MachineGames bekämen. Inwieweit id Software gerade an einem zweiten RAGE-Spinoff für iOS-Geräte arbeitet, ist mir nicht bekannt, aber an Entwicklern dafür sollte es ihnen eigentlich nicht mangeln. Was haben wir noch... ach ja... Prey 2. Nein, dazu erwarte ich überhaupt nichts.
